Check out a few frames from my trip on the Road to Hāna. The Hāna Highway is a popular tourist attraction in Maui. It is a 68-mile (109 km) long stretch of Hawaii State Routes 36 and 360 which connects Kahului with the town of Hāna in east Maui. It takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one-lane bridges.
I’m known for getting car sickness very easy. My wife and my friends told me to stay away from this road, or you get very sick. I made it and may be snatching some photos here and there helped me to get distracted enough to not get sick at all.

What an incredible journey to shoot Marcella and Stephen’s wedding at the Kapalua Vilas on Maui. This is the perfect place to spend a week in November. My friend Andreas Gebhard joined me for this assignment. I also have to thank Kerri Butler from A Touch of Bliss Events for her great work. Besides the high-tech gear we used for the trash the dress shoot and the wedding of Marcella and Stephen, Andreas and I also used our iPhones to get some private impressions of our stay on Maui. Watch this video to see what we did on Maui.
Here is now part two of my egyptian travel diary. Visiting Egypt is is like jumping into a big history book. For my wife Tammy and me it was just overwhelming to see all this and to meet all the people in this wonderful interesting country.
Every time I stay in a nice hotel, I feel inspired by the interior, especially if it’s such nice hotels like the Four Season in Cairo or the Mena House Oberoi.
The Four Season
Our first residence during our Egypt vacation was the Four Season in Cairo. Located on the 6th to 30th floors of the Nile Plaza complex, the hotel offers panoramic views across the Nile to the island of Zamalek and beyond, or towards the 12th-century Citadel. Reflecting the vibrancy of modern Cairo, the airy interiors feature natural wood finishes and stylishly comfortable furnishings. Walking through the golden hallways of the hotel was like being a part of the stories from the Thousand and One Nights. Beautiful flower arrangements made a very warm welcome.

The Mena House Oberoi
The Mena House Oberoi is one of the most unique hotels in Cairo, with its own rich and colorful history. Surrounded by 40 acres of verdant green gardens, this palatial hotel is located in the shadows of the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. When I walked into the hotel bar for the first time, my first thought was I want to shoot a wedding here. I saw all the beautiful scenery where I would like to place the couple. All 0f you photographers looking at my photos, don’t tell me that you don’t have the same thoughts.
